A painter and sculptor, but also experienced as the leader of a heavy construction engineering consultancy, the inventor of the Berminghammer, and the person who came up with a viable system for building a deck over one of the most active rail corridors in North America (Hudson Yards), based on a great idea in one of Leonardo da Vinci's sketchbooks. I have imagined and built bridges, sculptures, and hybrids of the two.
